Strata, commercial and multi-unit buildings
Rising Damp for Strata & Commercial
Rising Damp in Shared Buildings
In older strata blocks and shop-top buildings, rising damp usually affects more than one lot. The ground floor units and shops get the tide marks and salt, the walls are common property, and the owners corporation has to fix it.
Getting it approved is often harder than doing the work. Committees need to understand what is wrong, what the fix is, and why it costs what it does.
My quotes cover the inspection, DPC injection with Silonexx, and the render and plaster repairs, with a clear scope for each area.
Made for Committees and Strata Managers
Every quote comes with a video showing each affected wall and explaining the cause, so the committee can see the problem without a site meeting. The scope lists each wall, the linear metres treated and the number of days, which makes quotes easy to compare.
I work with strata managers and building managers, can register on contractor platforms, and provide insurance details on request.
Commercial properties get the same approach. Shops, offices, restaurants and warehouses in older buildings often have rising damp hidden behind fit-outs and wall linings. I can work around trading hours and stage the work so the business keeps running.
For strata and commercial clients:
- A video quote for the committee
- A clear scope for each wall and each lot
- Insurance details and contractor registration
- Work staged around residents and trading hours
- A written warranty on the treatment
- Subfloor ventilation for ground floor units
Send the building address and photos of the affected areas, or ask your strata manager to forward the request, and I will arrange an inspection.
